Arts United/Fall River is a non-profit organization with the mission to support and encourage the artists and arts organizations of Fall River, Massachusetts. The first priority is a sharing of information and resources, and we designed this website just for that.

We are part of the team who have just won an Adams Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. We have just helped bring an exhibition from the Fuller Craft Museum to the Narrows Center for the Arts, to be followed by “Experiencing the War in Iraq”. We created the ArtWrap that put student artwork on murals around the courthouse construction site on South Main Street. We’ve begun drafting plans for the creation of an information kiosk/ box-office on Main Street, and an arts & culture resource map to support Fall River’s creative economy. We have begun the creation of a Storefront Artists Project here, based on the successful project at Pittsfield.

We are working with the Chamber of Commerce and other city groups to investigate ways to boost the creative economy of Fall River. The Visitors Center in Heritage State Park can be a great venue for the arts; you can contact us for assistance in booking an event there. We have organized other shows around town, including Art on the Watuppa, the auction and exhibition at the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center. Arts United encourages and supports all Fall River artists and organizations to engage in grant searches and applications, forwarding any and all grant information to members, continually exploring opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations for events, programs and projects.
