I have fire extinguisher training. I did a course while I was at my previous employment that earned me a certificate in various different health and safety management techniques, and one of the aspects of this particular training was how to make effective use of a fire extinguisher to handle a fire that has broken out in the work place. The fire extinguisher training and the health and safety management training in general has really helped me out in the long run. Not only do I know what to look out for when it comes to health and safety, but it is a great certificate to add to my CV when it comes to applying for jobs. Employers really love it when you have this sort of training even before going to work for them. It not only means you have some good skills for the job, but also that you are responsible person.
