AU Seeks Board Members

Arts United Fall River, Inc., is actively seeking nominees for upcoming special elections. The organization seeks nominees for President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Board of Directors positions.

To nominate someone, please submit a resume with a brief letter to: Arts United, PO Box 1005, Fall River, MA 02722.

Deadline is March 1, 2010, and elections will be held on March 17. Nominees must be residents of Greater Fall River.

Past projects of Arts United include the courthouse wrap, Iraq War Exhibit, Pulp Function, Open Concerts at the Gates, Childrens Art Competition, Durfee Tech Awareness, and support for the Arts Overlay District.

Ongoing projects include the Store-Front Artist Project, Arts Calendar and Cultural Map print and distribution.

AUs next board meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 10, 6 p.m. at the Fall River Public Library on North Main Street. This meeting will be open to members, and all those who are interested in becoming members or would consider submitting a nomination.

Arts United is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation. Its mission is to foster and promote the arts and to explore and encourage greater participation in the arts throughout greater Fall Rivers diverse community.
