How many times have you bought a bottle of water, or even a multi pack of bottled waters, without even thinking about it? You drink the water then toss the bottle. Where does it end up? Probably in some landfill somewhere. It took money and resources to create a bottle that could’ve been recycled instead of thrown away. Even if you did recycle that bottle, that’s a lot of energy put into a bottle that will only be used once before it winds up either thrown away or recycled again (to only be used once, again)! If you are a family of four that drinks one bottled water each, per day, that adds up to over 1400 bottles per year! That’s just one year! And what if you drink more than one bottle per day? These add up very quickly, piling on the trash in an already over crowded world. It’s time for bottled water alternatives.
