About Arts United | Fall River
Arts United/Fall River is a newly formed non-profit organization with the mission to support and encourage the artists and arts organizations of Fall River. There have been a number of reasons for the call to action. The first priority is a sharing of information and resources, which this website is designed to address.
We have hosted seminars with several agencies of the Massachusetts Cultural Council as well as other statewide organizations and plans are fomenting. Check the Bulletin Board for updates. We are working with the Chamber of Commerce and other city groups to investigate ways to boost the creative economy of Fall River. The Visitors Center in Heritage State Park can be a great venue for the arts; contact us or the Friends of Heritage State Park for assistance in booking an event. We’re working with the Chamber to program an Artisans Fair there this August. We've begun drafting plans for evolving the website into a newsletter, the creation of an information kiosk/ box-office on Main Street, and an arts & culture resource map to support Fall River’s creative economy.
Arts United encourages and supports all Fall River artists and organizations to engage in grant searches and applications, forwarding any and all grant information to members, continually exploring opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations for events, programs and projects. If you could use some help in any cultural endeavor in Fall River, please contact us.
